You need the pack — normal Minecraft cannot join. It installs Minecraft 26.2 and every mod for you.

Set it up

Open the file in your launcher

Whichever launcher you use. Keep the name it suggests.

Modrinth App Add instance → From file → pick the file you downloaded
PrismLauncher Add Instance → Import → pick the file you downloaded

Press play once and let it load

It downloads Minecraft 26.2 and all the mods by itself. You don't have to choose anything. Wait until the game opens.

Add the server

Multiplayer → Add Server. Name it anything you like, and use the address 192.168.0.151.

Join, and say yes to the pack

The server offers a resource pack when you connect.

Say yes. It's what gives you the bushy trees, the fancy crops and the animated mobs. Say no and it all looks plain.

The live map

A real map of our whole world in your browser. You can zoom in, spin it around and look at it in 3D — and you can see where everyone is standing right now.

  • You don't need Minecraft open. It works on a phone or tablet too.
  • The map is already filled in far past where anyone has explored, so you can plan where to go next.
  • Black areas are places nobody has been yet. Walk there and they fill in.
  • The Nether and End are almost empty on the map for now — they fill in as you explore them.

Put your own places on the map

You can pin your base, a good cave, a village — anything. It shows up on the live map for everyone. You do this in the game, not on the website.

Make your own folder — once

Type /bmarker create-set and follow the menu. Give it your name, like Emma's places. You only ever do this once.

Stand where you want the pin, and add it

Go to the spot, type /bmarker create, and follow the menu to name it. Refresh the map and it's there.

Each of you can have 50 pins in up to 3 folders

The menus are clickable — when the chat shows blue or underlined text, click it instead of typing. Press Tab while typing a command to complete it.

If it goes wrong

Common problems

A long list of items fills the screen and I can't read the error Your game and the server don't have the same mods. Start the instance you imported from susi-mods.mrpack — normal Minecraft can't join.
It says outdated client, or outdated server Wrong instance again. The server runs Minecraft 26.2 — your normal Minecraft won't connect.
Everything looks plain, mobs move like normal You said no to the resource pack. Leave and rejoin, and say yes. You can also switch it on under Options → Resource Packs.
Modrinth App crashes with "Illegal char" and a path full of ??? One of your profiles has a name Windows can't handle. Delete that profile and import the pack again, keeping the suggested name. If it keeps happening, use PrismLauncher.
My new pin isn't on the map Refresh the page in your browser. If it's still missing, the map redraws itself overnight — check again in the morning.
The map or the download buttons do nothing You need to be on the house wifi. If you're not at home, ask Yousef.

You are all operators on this server, so every one of these works for you. Type / in the chat and press Tab to complete a command instead of typing it out.

Your map pins

Explained in full further up the page: /bmarker create-set once, then /bmarker create at each spot. /btp teleports you to your own pins and /bplayer hides you on the map.

⚠ These change things for everyone — be sure first

/stopShuts the whole server down. Everyone gets kicked out and only Yousef can start it again. Never run this.
/gamerule …Changes a rule of the world for everybody. In this version the names use underscores, like keep_inventory — it is currently off, so dying really does drop your stuff.
/difficulty …Changes the difficulty for everybody. It is on easy.
/kick /ban /deopThese affect other players. Please just don't — talk to each other instead.
